What Shapes Ministry at Lexington UMC?

Lexington United Methodist Church exists to

Welcome God

Know God

Serve God

Share God

Experience God

Love God

These are the pillars, or foundations of how this community of faith

understands how to live as disciples of Jesus Christ.

LUMC is Wesleyan-centered in our understanding of grace.

We exist to bring glory to God by making disciples through radical hospitality,

passionate worship, risk-taking mission and service, extravagant generosity

and intentional faith development.  We believe Jesus offers healing and wholeness

when we practice these pillars, creating a welcoming space for all to find hope.

The Scriptures, Tradition, Reason & Experience

help us form our unique expression of Good News

in our families, our communities, and around the world.

The most important aspect of becoming a follower of Christ

is to invite others to experience God's amazing grace for themselves.

This happens in prayer, worship, service, study and giving.

It is the hope and prayer of LUMC that you know the love of God in Jesus Christ.

Youth Group

Youth Group

Adults serving  Youth Group on Sundays  build and foster relationships with students, sharing the teaching of Scripture, experiencing worship and intentional discipleship through service and fun.

5th grade through high school meet Sunday at 6:00 PM.  Check the events page/calendar for Youth Group schedule or email Cindy Ferriby   for information about youth group activities and schedule.

Wednesday Night Community Dinner

is suspended until the risk of contagion has passed.

Let us know if you need help with groceries.

Wednesday Night Community Dinner begins at 5:45 in our gym

This is another opportunity to come together as a community for worship, socializing and service.  Wednesday meals are prepared and provided by volunteers.  The food is free for the everyone in the community.  We do accept donations and welcome volunteers to build bridges to friendship over a shared meal.  And we know that a meal cooked by someone else can give us a break, physically and financially!.  Come and enjoy the company of neighbors and friends!

Community Dinner is served promptly at 6pm.

A brief time scripture and reflection begins at 5:45 pm.

All are welcome!

LUMC Kids

Sunday School is for our 3 year old through 5th graders during 9:30 a.m. worship service through singing, telling stories and teaching the truth of God's Word with the children.

We're always looking for great individuals to love and serve our kids, and help show the love of Christ to them during our gatherings. If you're someone who would like to serve, or just know a little bit more about LUMC Youth, please connect us.
