The practice of prayer opens our hearts to the power of God’s love. Like any important relationship we need to open our hearts and lives to our beloved through frequent, honest communication.  Prayer is how we open ourselves to God and make ourselves available to receive God's love. Prayer is how God's love can become our love. It is how we become channels of God’s love in the world.
