APRIL
Mission Moment
Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the
least of these brothers and sisters of mine,
you did for me. ~Matthew 25:40
A special collection is taken on
the 3rd Sunday of each month,*
The next will be April 20, 2025
our mission offering
will go to
WATER FOR LIFE—LIBERIA.

Clean and safe drinking water and sanitation are human rights issues that need urgent attention in post-war Liberia. In 1990, Liberia’s 127 years of peaceful democracy was shattered whena senseless civil unrest erupted. Over 200,000 people were killed. People started a desperate search for water, which continues today. 75% of Liberians do not have access to safe drinking water
and sanitation facilities.
Water for Life is a grassroots initiative and seeks to address the water and sanitation needs of the affected communities. It is an Advance project of the General Board of Global Ministries that seeks funding for the construction of 40 wells and 30 toilet facilities within communities and schools. The program will set up community structures and leadership that will supervise and coordinate the wells and toilets.
Your Mission Committee urges you to be generous as you consider this project. Access to clean water and sanitation facilities are common to us—but precious to those who live in Liberia. You can give at any time...make the check out to Lex UMC and put ‘Mission/April’ in the memo line.

Everyone is Welcome
First Time to Lexington United Methodist Church?
Church can be an intimidating place to visit for the first time— especially if you don’t know what to expect. We invite you to experience what the gospel means in mind, body & spirit at one of our Sunday worship services. You can engage with others as much as you want, or remain anonymous if you prefer. We hope that through visiting with us, you will experience the hope, love, and joy that comes from a community of people who love Jesus.

4th Sunday Fundays are Here!
All ages gather in a relaxed worship space created to bring all ages together and experience worship and faith formation together. Young disciples experience a meaningful message, create something that helps them connect to God, and help lead worship. And there are snacks! Every student gets a packet to take home with lessons and activities to help them learn about God, Jesus and the Church.
Children of all ages are always welcome in the sanctuary. Children of all ages are welcome to participate in Holy Communion which is on the first Sunday of each month.
